👀 4 compression settings you need to steal!

The other day I started writing down all the ways I use compression.

I thought it would be a very SHORT list, but it wasn't, a long list of different tools I use almost DAILY for mixing and mastering…
So I chuckled to myself, rolled my eyes, and thought this would be fun to share my top 4!

TDR Kotelnikov

This is my main mix-bus compressor; and I have these presets which are my starting points for mix-bus compression based off the lowest fundamental of the mix;

UNISUM

Whenever I want to get EDM PUMPING and thumping.,. this is my go-to; modifying the att-release times based on the loud and quiet portions of the compressed signal allows me to get it PUMPING

Dynone

I use this mainly for “tonalization” upward compressing the low-level detail with multiband compression then shifting the tone of the compressed bands to bring out details in the registers I see fit.
